Jeremy Goldberg, Founder
Jeremy spent the fall of 2003 traveling in Uganda. It was then that he and colleague Joseph Bagambaki Kaliisa committed themselves to supporting communities living in Uganda. After two years of development efforts, the program evolved into GYPA in January 2006. Today, Jeremy is actively engaged in the sports for social change movement, youth peace-building and development efforts, and writing about the intersection of technology, direct service, philanthropy and social entrepreneurship. He has received several academic and entrepreneurship fellowships, and has spoken widely at high schools, universities, conferences, and summits in the United States and Africa. He graduated from the University of Texas-Austin in 2003.
