Core Initiative
The Communities Responding to the HIV/AIDS Epidemic, or CORE Initiative, is a five-year, $50-million global program supported by the U.S. Agency for International Development. The CORE Initiative's overall mission is to support an inspired, effective, and inclusive response to the causes and consequences of HIV/AIDS by strengthening the capacity of community and faith-based groups in Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe, Latin America, and the Caribbean.

DONOR SPOTLIGHT: Kevin Carroll & Katalyst Consultancy
Kevin Carroll is not just a donor, but a mentor, supporter, and friend of GYPA. Kevin's passion for youth, creativity, Africa, leadership and sport, has been a blessing to our programs. In October 2004, Kevin made a generous donation that led to the construction of a basketball court located at a primary school located in Namuwongo, Uganda. Children who once had no source of recreational outlet now have a "basketball haven" in Namuwongo. In summer 2006, he sponsored Gomo Tong FC's participation in the Homeless World Cup in Cape Town, South Africa.

The Merrin Family Foundation is a donor-advised fund of the Jewish Communal Fund. It was established as a vehicle through which members of the Merrin Family (parents, four children and their spouses) could collaboratively donate to causes which are meaningful to the family as a whole. The Foundation has been instrumental to the success of GYPA's Helping Hands Medical Fellowship.

Cameroon Youth and Students Forum for Peace (CAMYOSFOP)
CAMYOSFOP is a non-profit, non-governmental organization aimed at educating youth, students, and the public in general on how their moral and traditional values serve as tools for resolving differences and promote a culture of peace. The organization is also involved in human rights and citizenship education, advocating for a national arms control campaign, promoting the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) in Cameroon, and assisting international volunteers who are interested working in the field.

Homeless World Cup
The Homeless World Cup is a unique international football tournament. The HWC exists to be a catalyst for lasting change through the development of street soccer worldwide in a way that that creates a maximum social impact for the players involved – socially excluded, homeless, and people living in poverty. This is accomplished firstly by creating a top quality, well-recognized annual HWC flagship event and secondly, by a continuous HWC grassroots development programs around the world to ensure that many more people benefit.

Society for Democratic Initiatives — Sierra Leone
SDI is a youth-run non-governmental organization based in Freetown, Sierra Leone that seeks to promote and achieve the fundamental principles of a democratic society. Its mission is to develop an environment in Sierra Leone that fosters civic participation and empowerment, social equality, the protection of human rights, and transparent and accountable governance. The Kids League (Uganda)
